Join the vineyard from the planting of the vines, and receive the wine those vines make, every year. It is a relationship that runs for 25 years.
First, plainly
- This is not a donation. Ownership fees are received by La Perle Co., Ltd. and go into the vineyard and the wine.
- This is not an investment product. It is a service agreement: you receive the wine made from a block of the vineyard, and you may use the vineyard and its facilities.
- Donations and sponsorship for restoring abandoned farmland are handled by a separate legal entity, the general incorporated association Komoro no Wa.

Before you join
Ownership of the land
Title to the land rests with La Perle Co., Ltd. or with Mariko Kawasaki personally, because Japan's Agricultural Land Act restricts who may own farmland.
What you acquire
Not title to the land or the vines, but the right to the fruit of a given block — that is, the right to receive the wine made from it — together with the right to use the vineyard and the winery facilities.
Nature of the agreement
A service agreement. It is not a transfer of a co-ownership share in real property. The terms are provided in writing for you to review before you join.
Variation in yield
Weather and other conditions can change the number of bottles. In a poor year we intend to make it good by guarantee, refund or substitution.
